Adapt utilises cold-aisle containment solutions to deliver more efficient, environmentally sound solutions for our customers. Traditionally, entire data centres were kept cool to ensure system stability. With cold-aisle technology, racks are set up in self-contained aisles behind sealed doors for cooling efficiency. Cold air is only required in the sealed zone; air warmed by the devices is then pulled through the infrastructure out into the data centre suite or floor and naturally dissipated.
Our tailored shared and dedicated racking solutions meet the most stringent security requirements, including key locks, combination locks or electronically managed racks with remote access control. Optional CCTV is available, automatically capturing personnel approaching or opening racks and providing a full audit trail for your records.
Adapt offers intelligent hands services to provide limitless resources to all customers colocated in Adapt facilities. Designed to provide an always-on data centre presence, our service enables you to outsource routine support and maintenance with access to emergency support whenever you need it. Minimise the costs associated with dispatching your own IT staff to resolve equipment issues: our onsite data centre engineers are always first on the scene and ready to address hands-on needs when speed is paramount.
Our intelligent hands services include onsite first line support and maintenance as standard and can be enhanced to include more advanced services to suit your specifications. Intelligent hands services can be purchased flexibly on an as-needed basis or via a traditional monthly service contract.
Adapt’s highly experienced team of field engineers are fully trained in cable management. Our engineers design and build racks to specific requirements, ensuring data and power are run separately, manufacturing cables to specific needs (including CAT5, CAT5E and CAT6) and most importantly labelling and documenting the full infrastructure for ease of ongoing support.
All our data centre facilities are environmentally monitored. It is essential to ensure that your equipment is kept at the correct operating environment; failure to do this will shorten the life of components, applying unnecessary stress upon devices. Power levels, temperature and humidity levels are fully monitored and alerts are raised should these approach unacceptable levels. Thresholds are always set within safe tolerances, allowing Adapt to undertake corrective action before operating guidelines are breached.
All power feeds to the data centre are supplied via UPS with back-up generation capable of providing 100% power to the facility for at least 24 hours at full load. The generator, UPS and power equipment is maintained and tested on an agreed schedule basis to ensure that the systems are fully operational.
In addition to the environmental parameters outlined above, all data centre facilities are equipped with fire detection and suppression systems. Systems are intelligent to pinpoint potential hot-spots and fire suppression is only deployed in these areas rather than flooding entire suites or floors.
All Adapt data centres are subject to strict physical security policies. Access controls are utilised at all points of entry to secure areas within the data centre; customers and authorised 3rd parties are escorted to maintain security compliance. Video surveillance cameras are located at points of entry to the data centre and other secured areas within the perimeter. Video surveillance is capable of being locally and remotely monitored and is stored for review if required.
Adapt carefully manages security and access to your systems and data to prevent unauthorised access. All suspected and actual security breaches are reported to you and investigated, taking remedial action as appropriate to ensure security and compliance with agreed service levels.
