Adapt’s Managed Backup and Restore services provide you with a secure remote storage facility to which you can connect from anywhere via the Internet – at home, abroad or in the office via any PC, laptop, thin client or mobile device.

Cloud backup

Traditional backup methods, although effective, require capital expenditure to set up and entail ongoing media and maintenance costs. Our cloud backup service offers a cost-effective, hassle-free alternative to optical or tape solutions, whether simple file data or more complex databases such as Microsoft Exchange and SQL.

Your Adapt backup service is accessible via a user-friendly web interface. Data is stored within a monitored data centre environment with redundant power and resilient network connection; all data is encrypted and compressed automatically before contact is made with the server to ensure that it cannot be accessed by third parties.

A daily (incremental) backup is made of all new and updated files at a time of day to suit you and after each backup, you’ll receive an email notification and detailed report. Your data is stored twice at different secure remote locations to ensure 24/7 risk-free availability.

Adapt checks and validates all data before it is stored via cyclic redundancy checks (CRC), allowing even deleted files to be repaired. Default PC folders are automatically backed up as the machine is switched on; additional folders can easily be included or removed from the backup process. Periods of inactivity that indicate you may be away from your machine are also detected, prompting a fresh backup to be carried out as soon as possible.

Restoration

Transfer data back to your PC or to any other system of choice, anywhere in the world, whenever you choose. When restoring files, select from many different earlier versions – yesterday, last week or even three months ago. Restoring your files is incredibly simple through Adapt’s intuitive web interface.
