Adapt grows revenues from £8 millions to £25 in 12 months. Over 1,500 customers and 300% increase in revenue mark twelve months of success

Adapt, the independent Virtual Network Operator (VNO), today

announced that it has grown revenues from £8 million to £25 million in just 12 months. The news coincides with one year since the management buyout (MBO) that has seen the company established as a leading player in the UK VNO market. In a significant year for growth by any standards, Adapt has experienced some major transformations including:

  • Annualised contracted revenues increased by over 300% from £8m to over £25m
  • Collaborative deals to provide telecoms services for over 1,500 customers including enterprises such as CSC, high profile corporates such as Incisive Media, and many fast growing companies such as lastfm.com, Lovefilm.com and play.com
  • Successful re-brand from mnet to Adapt creating a creating a unique positioning and identity in the market
  • Acquisition of Centric Telecom resulting in  combined forward contracted revenue worth in excess of £100 million

UK businesses sitting on data hosting time bomb. One in two enterprises requires additional server colocation in next twelve months, despite lack of space, power constraints and soaring costs

Almost 50% of mid-sized enterprises (500 – 1,000 employees) will have significant server colocation needs over the coming 12 months, according to new research from Adapt, the independent Virtual Network Operator (VNO).  The OmniBoss survey, conducted by Vanson Bourne on behalf of Adapt, gathered feedback from 200 senior IT decision makers in mid-sized companies.  Despite this, data centres are rapidly running out of capacity, there are power constraints due to the development of London Cross Rail and the Olympic site, and there no new data centre builds in central London.  Without major planning now, UK businesses will have limited options open to them.

Independent Virtual Network Operator (VNO), Adapt, today announced that, as part of its continuing service expansion programme, it has secured an additional 15 000  square foot of prime data centre space within state-of-the-art facilities in London’s Docklands and at Level 3 Communications’ London locations. Following deals worth over £30m, Adapt now manages over 40,000 square foot of datacentre space for mid corporate and enterprise tenants with plans to acquire more by the end of the year.

Computer Sciences Corporation is a global IT services company whose mission is to provide customers in industry and government with solutions crafted to meet their specific challenges and enable them to profit from the advanced use of technology.

By partnering with Adapt, it will benefit from a flexible contract and while gaining access to valuable technical real estate portfolio in central London and M25 Periphery and Europe.

MPLS IP VPN to help regional newspaper group exploit new media market with web, voice and radio over IP technologies

Independent Virtual Network Operator (VNO), Adapt, today announces its collaboration with leading IT services provider, Centrecore, to provide Kent Messenger Group (KM Group), Kent & Medway’s premier media group, with a MPLS IP VPN (Multi-Protocol Label Switching Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network). The network, linking 20 sites, will enable the KM Group to deploy web, voice and radio over IP and improve reliability and efficiency of applications between sites. The £2 million contract is for three years.
