adapt partners with KPN to harness International data and IP Services to address increasing needs of UK companies with international sites

London, 16 May 2007

Independent Virtual Network Operator (VNO), adapt, today announces it has been selected to join international network services provider, KPN International’s Business Partner Programme. This further accreditation for adapt only serves to strengthen the VNO model as they partner with best of breed network operators around the world.

KPN has a state-of-the-art international IP backbone with a seamless footprint spanning all the major financial and business centres across Europe. KPN initiated the Partner Programme to work with a select number of companies to jointly serve the needs of medium sized businesses with international networking requirements. KPN's strong presence in Europe, and partnerships worldwide, provides adapt with access to international data services and IP services in over 180 countries.

“Customer service is at the heart of our business and that makes us dedicated to offering the best level of service possible. By leveraging the network resources of the world’s leading operators, adapt can provide superior performance and because we are not maintaining and running a network, we are free to concentrate solely on our customer service,” commented Peter Knight, CEO, adapt. “Many of our customers have an international presence and with advances in technology continually opening up a worldwide marketplace, KPN’s network scope will enable us to really maximise our international offering.”

“The aim of the Business Partner Programme is to allow Virtual Network Operators, Integrators and Resellers to benefit from our leading network and product assets which we feel brings a new approach to the UK partner community,” added Owen Raisborough, Partner Channel Director, KPN. “We are only appointing partners who are the best in their field. Driving the VNO approach has led adapt to grow significantly in the UK and their ambition complements our business resulting in mutual benefits for us both.”

As part of its extensive portfolio, KPN provides international VPN, SDH, Wavelength and Fibre services. With access capabilities in over 180 countries, adapt’s customers can choose from Ethernet & DSL as well as traditional leased line access. In addition, KPN has interconnected its MPLS network with best-of-breed regional providers, enabling access to a truly global VPN solution.
