adapt scores a hat-trick – 3 consecutive years on Tech Track 100 List
London, 20 September 2009
Fast growing IT managed services company again joins the UK’s top tech companies in industry-leading league table.
adapt, the independent managed services provider reducing cost and complexity from IT, today announced that it has been placed on the 2009 Tech Track 100 league table for the third consecutive year.
The 2009 Tech Track 100 ranks Britain's fastest-growing private tech companiesin the UK based on compound average sales growth over the last five years.
Tech Track 100 is compiled by Oxford-based research and events company Fast Track and is published in The Sunday Times each September, with an awards event in November.
The placement marks the third consecutive year adapt has been placed on the league table; it was first recognised for out-pacing the rest of the market in 2007, and then storming up the league table to an impressive ranking of 15th in 2008.
adapt CEO Peter Knight said of the placement in the 2009 table: “This is a tremendous achievement for adapt. To achieve a Tech Track 100 placing for the third consecutive year is significant as it shows the stability of the adapt business model to continue growing in a volatile market. This list is very much a bellwether of the technology companies which are making a difference in the UK market.” Mr Knight said.
adapt CFO Toby Harris added: “What is particularly pleasing is that not only have we delivered strong top line growth consistently over the last five years but that our upwards profit trajectory has climbed at a similar rate.”
Fast Track founder Dr Hamish Stevenson said: “Fast Track’s league tables have spotted many success stories long before they floated, such as chip designer ARM and Carphone Warehouse. They have also helped raise the profile of smaller companies such as Cobra Beer, Sophos, Travelex, and Dyson. Any company placed on the league table deserves to be excited about being included in such esteemed company.”
