adapt expands data centre capacity in Global Switch 2

adapt have contracted for a third phase of colocation capacity with leading Docklands provider Global Switch, adding a additional 2,500 square feet of colocation space; taking adapt's total footprint within the facility to 20,000 sq feet.
adapt's strategic relationship with Global Switch enables them to contract to significant amounts of premium data centre space; meaning customers can leverage adapt's buying power and can benefit from colocation service contracts on flexible terms.
Global Switch is one of four key datacentre facilities within adapt's portfolio and is suitable for customers who require premium London Docklands, diversely routed and fibre rich space with access to over 40 carriers.
adapt can provide access to this premium facility with single rack colocation, private suites or bespoke builds. Additionally, adapt can provide high availability, split solutions for business continuity or SAN replication to their London City or M25 Periphery colocation facilities.
Customers that are connected at an adapt data centre are also able to leverage the adapt dark fibre metro network which connects a number of central London and M25 periphery data centres.
Final phases of remaining capacity planned for Q1 2010.
Global Switch 2 is a Tier 3 datacentre located next to Global Switch London 1, Telehouse North and Telehouse East is one of Europe's largest purpose built, carrier-neutral data centres. The facility is situated within close proximity to the main fibre route, and is underpinned by a minimum N+1 standards for power and cooling systems, delivering an optimal operating environment to clients 24x7.
