Ethernet private line

Our Ethernet Private Line (EPL) services allow you to extend your preferred Local Area Network (LAN) technology out across the Metro and Wide Area Network (M/WAN). EPL is appropriate for connecting locations at LAN speeds by switching rather than routing at bandwidths of anywhere between 10Mbps and 10Gbps. EPL is a cost-effective and high performance solution to both local access connectivity, and, when combined with carrier grade SDH or MPLS, international long distance connectivity. As a local access technology, Ethernet promises higher bandwidths at lower cost and we will evaluate potential local operator suppliers in terms of cost, performance, SLA and physical network topology so you can be sure the solution meets your business need.

As a regional and international connectivity solution, EPL overcomes distance limitations by travelling across core carrier MPLS / SDH backbone networks. We offer you both protected and unprotected EPL services, and will design your connectivity to favour or avoid particular routes in order to meet your diversity and network performance requirements. adapt will explain all the options and develop a solution that’s just right for you.

Wavelength

Our wavelength services provide service providers and network operators with 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps point-to-point bandwidths operated directly over carriers’ DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing) core infrastructure. Wavelengths allow customers to build and manage their own SDH and IP long or short distance backbones or connect Storage Area Networks (SANs).

After a full assessment of your wavelength requirements, adapt will approach tier one carriers and dark fibre providers in order to specify a bespoke solution to meet your business needs. The consultancy and assessment process will typically consider physical network paths, network and duct construction methods, wayleave, network build, maintenance, SLA and financial or contractual obligations.
